Lance Smith began his career with McLane Company at the corporate headquarters nearly fifteen years ago starting in McLane’s Corporate Merchandising & Procurement department. Lance’s responsibilities spanned multiple product categories to include Confections, Seasonal, Snacks, Cigarettes, Tobacco, Health & Beauty, General Merchandise, Automotive and Private Label. After nearly a decade in Merchandising & Procurement, Lance transitioned to the McLane Sales team where he had responsibility for McLane’s Mass Markets segment to include Drug, Supermarket, Value and E-Commerce trade classes. In 2017, Lance moved into his current role as Director, Business Development where he leads all McLane efforts specific to new business opportunities across all trade channels.
