Norman Turiano

Principal, Turiano Strategic Consulting LLC and former Field Operations Manager, Wawa, Inc.

Norman has expertise in brand development, the customer experience, strategic planning, and marketing, among others. His expertise was developed over 32 years working with Wawa Inc., his later years spent heading fuel business development, thinking outside the normal paradigm. After an exceptional ESOP led to early retirement in 2012, he began a consulting career advising client’s on disruption and business transformation, brand development, marketing initiatives, as well as fuel pricing strategy. He is very engaged in the emerging Mexican market resulting from fuel deregulation.

In 2013 he accepted a director position with the Fuels Institute, the non-profit research-oriented think tank dedicated to evaluating the market issues relating to transportation and the fuels that power it, especially emerging alternate fuels. He splits his time between Florida and New Jersey with his wife, three daughters and 2 grandchildren, and is an active contributor on non-profit boards. He holds a BA in business management from Stockton University of New Jersey, and a MS in marketing from St. Joseph’s University of Philadelphia.
