Jake Comer is Growth Energy’s Vice President of Market Development, specializing in helping U.S. retailers bring higher ethanol blends to market. Comer has over a decade of retail fuel experience spanning multiple retailers. Most recently, he served as the Director of Retail Fuels for Casey’s, with responsibilities including expanding E15 availability, fuel marketing & pricing, and ensuring overall fuel profitability goals were met.
Comer received his undergraduate degree from Drake University and his MBA from the University of Iowa. After several years in public accounting, he spent seven years in fuels with Kum & Go and Murphy USA, focusing on the guest fueling experience and optimizing fuel sales. He moved back to Des Moines, Iowa, with his wife and two children in 2018 to help Casey’s stand up its Retail Fuel Department as part of its Shareholder Value Creation Plan. Comer joined the Growth Energy team in 2022.
