Roy Strasburger, a fourth-generation retailer, is CEO of StrasGlobal, a retail services and consulting company based in Texas. Roy oversees StrasGlobal’s retail services, tech, and consulting businesses.Roy is also very involved in Compliance Safe, a document management system that tracks and alerts retailers when permits should be renewed, and Resources for Retailers, a content and services hub for single stores and small-chain operators
Roy attended Baylor University, in Waco, Texas, graduating with degrees in Marketing and Computer Information Systems. He obtained his JD degree from Baylor University Law School in 1984 and joined a British law firm based in the Caribbean.
After moving to London, England, where he started a magazine publication company, Roy returned to the US to join Strasburger Enterprises, Inc. (“SEI”) as General Counsel. He later assumed the position of President of SEI’s fuel division and took the position of President, International Division in 1994. In 2009 Roy added the responsibilities of the development and operations of the company’s global convenience retailing business. During his time with SEI Roy was responsible for the development and/or operation of over 10,000 retail sites in 35 countries through the licensing of its systems and management agreements.
In 2012 Roy bought SEI’s retail business and continues to provide retail related services to multinational oil companies and financial institutions.
Roy has served on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Convenience Stores (“NACS”), is a past member of the Executive Committee as the Vice Chairman for Industry Relations, and was a founding member of NACS International Committee.
Roy has had the honor of speaking at numerous industry conferences around the world and enjoys sharing his expertise regarding the convenience retail and fuel industry.
Roy Strasburger lives in Austin, Texas, USA with his wife, Eva, and their four daughters Selina, Chantal, Lorelei, and Danielle.
